2024 Annual Holiday Giving Project
December 12, 2024

Each year Beta Sigma Alpha Sororidad Latina, Inc. partners with Simpson Creative Concepts, LLC to deliver holiday gifts to the teens serviced by the Child and Family Guidance Center of Bridgeport.
Over the years, this partnership has allowed us to have reach and impact beyond what we can do as individuals. Collectively coming together to show care and love through intentional acts of kindness IS the reason for the season.
Many thanks to Michael and Leticia for welcoming us in again. Looking forward to expanding our partnership.

2024 Annual Read Aloud Day
October 1, 2024

Beta Sigma Alpha Sororidad Latina, Inc. was happy once again to visit the children's classrooms at the Discovery Magnet School.
This is a favorite service project of ours for many reasons, especially those of use who are educators or work with children and families. When you read to a child, you see the spark, you witness the joy and pride, the curiosity and interest. it is an unexplainable feeling that is contagious.

The "classroom helpers" had a wonderful morning meeting the children and reading A Crown for Corina,
by Laekan Zea Kemp. Some of the "classroom helpers" were able to stay longer to participate
in snack time and arts & crafts time. It was great to
see so many other people from our community participating in the Read Aloud activities.
Being an organization focused on promoting the benefits of education, the need for better access to it and providing community service to the Latino community, we know that when you give back, it does make a difference. And it just feels good!
Many thanks to the principal, teachers and staff for welcoming us into your beautiful school.

2023 Northeast Leadership Conference
October 10-11, 2023

Thanks to our generous sponsor and supporter, Dana Benjamin, Founder & Principal of Back of the Napkin Consulting, LLC,
Beta Sigma Alpha, Sororidad Latina Inc., was able to have a booth at the 2024 Boys & Girl's Club of America's
Northeast Leadership Conference in Boston.

Over the 2 day conference we were able to successfully network and connect with conference attendees and visitors to promote our annual sbook scholarship, discuss our bi-annual ScholarSteps virtual walk fundraiser and discuss our ongoing community service projects. It was a very exciting time for us to be able to tell people who we are and what we do to support Latina's in Higher Education and the Latino community.
Not to mention, we were able to dicuss and get feedback on some upcoming projects we have in the works for 2024.
A HUGE THANKS to all who made this exposure possible!

2023 ScholarSteps Virtual Walk
June 17-June 25 2023

This year's virtual walk was a huge success thanks to our returning (and new) event sponsors, eager walkers, and faithful donors.
We raised enough money to award 6 scholarships in the upcoming year!

Check out our gallery for pics from the walk.
Again, thanks for WALKING with us! We can't wait to lace up and do it again in 2025, with bigger crowds and bigger numbers!
